50th Annual National Diocesan Vocation Directors Conference Next WeekPublished by ggalvin on September 10, 2013 - 10:41am
I Have Called You Friend is the theme for next weeks NCDVD National Conference. I will be attending my seventh conference and always look forward to gathering with brother vocation directors for what is always an inspirational, prayerful, informational and fun gathering. Each of the last three years there has been quite a turn over of vocation directors, approximately 30-40 new vocation directors each year. This year the conference is being held in Dallas Texas where I have heard all things are done in a big way. There are every year Keynote Speakers during the conference. This year we look forward to hearing from Father Rober Barron who will talk about Proclaiming Christ to a secular culture on Tuesday morning and then from His Eminence Daniel Cardinal Dinardo whose topic is on Being Transfigured. His Eminence is the Cardinal Archbishop of Galeston Houston. This also will be my first conference in which I will assist in presenting one of the afternoon workshop sessions; Lower Your Nets for a Catch: Effective Outreach to College Students. Come back here next week for regular updates on the conference as I will be blogging about each of the day's activities, both buisness and fun.
