On The Feast of The Transfiguration of The Lord - Seven Gifts To The Church!Published by ggalvin on August 6, 2014 - 8:15pm
Today in Stamford Connecticut at the very beautiful Basilica of St. John the Evangelist, I had the distinct honor to concelebrate the Holy Mass with His Excellency, The Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport and about fifty other priests for the Mass of Profession for the Sisters of Life. The picture is of Sister Angelina Marie who along with five other beautiful young women, made their first profession and one young sister who took her perpetual vows as Sisters of Life, an Order dedicated to up holding the dignity of human life and assisted in their very early beginnings by the late Cardinal O'Connor. The church was full, the music was sacred and beautiful, the joy was tangible and it was very clear that there is great hope for vocations in the Catholic Church here in America, priestly and religious. Please pray for these newly professed sisters and their community that by God's will they will continue to flourish here in the United States and throughout the world. Sister Maria Filumena, Sister Mary Pieta, Sister Mary Margaret Hope, Sister Josephine Rose, Sister Angelina Marie, Sister Faith Marie and Sister Maris Stella, S. V. who took her perpetual vows! God Bless them all.!
